  • Dance Movement Therapy

The American Dance Movement Therapy Association (ADTA) defines dance/movement therapy as the psychotherapeutic use of movement to promote emotional, social, cognitive and physical integration of the individual.

Dance Movement Therapy sessions can help reduce anxiety, depression and stress; improve self confidence, uplift and support mood, build social skills, assist with coordination, balance and of course, spark a joy for moving again.

Reconnect with your body through gentle, fun and expressive exercises in a safe environment with a warm, caring and supportive facilitator (that’s me!). I can help guide you to express yourself with restorative movement. This may be through movement exercises, mindfulness, verbal communication, art or the use of props. Sessions are tailored to the client, their needs and goals.

I am a Provisional Dance Movement Therapist DTAA (Prov. Prof. DMT). I am qualified to work with clients 1:1 and facilitate groups (and small groups) as well as workshops and school programs. Here I can help clients meet physical, cognitive, emotional or social goals. While I develop my practice as a dance movement therapist, I am able to offer recreational services under the NDIS. • School Projects and Programs

Looking for some creative direction or support? Is it ‘school production year’ and you’re looking for someone with enthusiasm, creativity and experience?

    Hi there! I can help!
As a Primary school and performing arts educator, I have over 10 years teaching experience from F-6.
I have choreographed various dance performances, created unique performing arts lesson plans, orchestrated whole school productions, run dance clubs and mentored primary and VCE dance students. I am super passionate about combining my love of dance and movement with my knowledge and capabilities as a school educator.

I would love to work with your school and make something magical! I design and run programs that align with the Victorian curriculum across various learning areas. I also love to work closely with schools and students to create collaborative projects that encourage student input to best reflect the ideas, values and personalities of the children and their school.

If you’re looking for some help with a Graduation dance, creative direction for a special event, or term dance program - I have you covered! I can also combine my dance movement therapy knowledge into a tailored program based on the needs of your students.

If you or your school would like to know more and see how we can collaborate, please get in touch

  • Workshops

Workshops can cater for various populations, themes and goals. This can include: learning a routine for an upcoming event (or specific dance discipline such as contemporary); dance movement therapy or mindful movement (incorporating meditation, somatic resources and gentle exercises).

Workshops can take place at your chosen venue, online, or alternatively a space can be arranged for an additional fee.

Previously I have facilitated ‘Mindful Movement’ group workshops and am currently working on special projects for schools and small businesses.

Please reach out if you would like to know about what I can offer and how we can tailor a workshop for your specific needs.

  • Creative Dance Movement

I love all styles of moving…but I hold a special place in my heart for creative dance.

I have formal training in contemporary dance and have taught contemporary dance as well as created contemporary dance works and pieces.
With my study in dance movement therapy, I can offer creative dance movement sessions or work with your organisation and bring the moves to you!

I’d love to dance with you, or choreograph something special for you. Moving the outside moves us on the inside.

Reach out if you would like to bring some creative dance movement into your life, school or workplace.
    Let's dance!
